It’s Time! Delhi University Has Opened Its Gates To Welcome Yet Another Batch Of Aspiring Youngsters!

The rush is on folks! Yesterday, on May 15, the online registration process for Delhi University UG admissions (2018-19) commenced from 6 PM. Last week, the university registrar maintained in a press release:

“All eligible applicants are informed that the registration process of all the programmes will be completely online for all categories and for all quota. The details of the registration process and subsequent procedure will be available in the Bulletin of Information, which will be available online in downloadable form.”

Only two colleges under Delhi University will be exempt to this – St.Stephen’s College and Jesus and Mary College. Admissions to these two colleges will be conducted through their respective online platforms.

The good news for students aspiring for postgraduate courses is that they don’t have to wait very long – the admissions to PG courses and MPhil/ Ph.D. courses will commence on May 18 and May 20, respectively.

To ensure that the entire admissions process for both UG and PG courses go smoothly, this year Delhi University has left no stone unturned. It has arranged for Open Days sessions stretching from May 21 to May 29, at the North Campus (near Gate No. 4) of the university. Every day from May 21-29, two sessions will be held – 10 AM to 11:30 AM and 12 PM to 1:30 PM. During these sessions, aspiring students can get all the detailed and relevant information on registration and admission process.

Furthermore, Delhi University has taken all the measures to avoid technical glitches in the online registration process that have been reported previously. Special Duty Officer Ashutosh Bharadwaj declared:

“We have opened all tabs and ensuring zero technical glitches.”

So, hopefully, students will no longer face issues with online registration this year.

Application Fee

The application fee for UG Courses (Merit-Based) are as follows:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category – ₹ 75
  • General/OBC Category – ₹ 150
  • Sports and ECA Category – ₹ 150/75 (according to category) + ₹ 100

The application fee for UG Courses (Entrance Based) are as follows:

  • UR/OBC/CW/Minorities – ₹ 500
  • SC/ST/PwD – ₹ 250
